Ceiling Corner LED Profiles

LED Profiles

Ceiling corner LED profiles are aluminium sections that set the position of the light line at the junctions of ceiling and wall. The Yiğit Alüminyum collection includes models for corner, cornice, hidden corner, indirect and curtain pocket applications. Review the position of the profile, the direction of light output and the surface finish together with the corner detail in your project.

Choosing a profile for ceiling corner lighting

A ceiling corner LED profile moves the LED strip channel to the junction of two surfaces, or close to that junction. Not every section emits light in the same direction: an open light line, hidden lighting and indirect light reflected off a surface require different positions. An aluminium ceiling corner profile should be chosen not only from its front view but from the sectional relationship the profile forms with the wall and ceiling.

Model families by the position of the light

  1. Corner and cornice sections

The ceiling corner and cornice LED profile options finish a lighting line running along the wall with different body shapes. The visible metal surface, the light opening and the way the profile sits in the corner are compared together.

  2. Hidden corner models

The plasterboard hidden corner LED profile is considered for forming a light channel inside the surface junction. In the different hidden corner sections in the collection, the flange structure, the body position and the light opening should be examined separately.

  3. Indirect and plasterboard Z models

The indirect LED profile is planned together with the surface the light will be directed at. The LED plasterboard Z profile handles the board edge and the channel position in a Z-shaped detail. The installation direction of these two sections should not be assumed to be the same.

  4. Curtain pocket model

The LED curtain pocket profile is considered for applications where the curtain zone and the lighting line are designed together. The space the curtain needs to move, the section of the profile and maintenance access should be compared before installation.

Points to check in the corner detail

  1. Direction of light output

Directing the light downwards, sideways or so that it reflects off a surface requires different sections. Work from the channel direction on the technical drawing.

  2. Surface junction

Establish the finished levels of the plasterboard, wall and ceiling. Compare the void required for a hidden lighting profile and the cladding allowances with the section.

  3. Channel and cover

The usable LED width, the cover seat and the light opening are examined separately. The cover dimension alone does not indicate that it fits the body.

  4. Line continuity

Decide the inside and outside returns, the profile ends and the cable entry in advance. Plan how the corner junctions will be completed with the light line.

Ceiling perimeter and curtain zone applications

A ceiling-to-wall junction LED profile can be considered for perimeter light lines in living room, corridor, office and shop interiors. In details that use a plasterboard corner LED profile, the board edge and the light channel are included in the same application plan. Around a curtain pocket, the relationship between the light and the curtain determines the position of the model and maintenance access.

Before installing a corner profile

The line of the profile should be marked out according to the finished ceiling and wall levels. The sequence of fixing and plastering is set by the chosen section; a single installation method is not applied to all corner models. The LED channel and the seating of the cover are protected during finishing work. The driver, the connections and the access areas around the curtain are resolved before the closing-up work.

Identify the section that suits your application

Decide the direction of the light and the surface junction; compare the corner, hidden lighting and curtain pocket sections against this detail.
