Y6368 Plasterboard Concealed Corner LED Profile

The Y6368 Plasterboard Hidden Corner LED Profile forms an illuminated transition at the edge of a surface with its stepped body and side LED channel. Flat flanges extending in different directions allow the profile to sit in the plasterboard detail. The overall section width of 61.6 mm is the reference for planning the space the application will take up.

Highlights

  • Stepped plasterboard LED profile

    Because the upper and lower surfaces are at different levels, the lighting channel sits between them. This structure is assessed together with the step and finish details.

  • Plasterboard edge lighting

    The LED channel forms an illuminated line along the edge of the surface. The profile direction is set according to the area where the lighting will be seen.

  • 61.6 mm overall width

    The overall dimension on the technical drawing shows the area taken up by the flanges. It is not the same reference as the 40 × 12 model size on the product page.

  • Mill finish or special paint

    The surface choice matches the visible parts of the body to the finished decoration. It is planned together with the plaster and paint layers around the profile.

Applications and model selection

It can be used for an illuminated transition at plasterboard ceiling steps, niche edges and wall ends. This model is considered when the stepped structure of the section matches the levels of the adjacent surfaces.

Installation and Model Compatibility

The profile position is set on the drawing together with the plasterboard and finish thicknesses. The channel opening must not be deformed while the body is fixed. The LED strip and cover are selected to suit its own section. The light direction and access to the channel are checked with a short trial before the surface is finished.

How is it installed?

  1. Measure and cut

    Mark the profile to the length required and cut it straight with a metal-cutting saw.

  2. Fit the LED strip

    Remove the backing tape from the strip and press it along the full length of the channel base to stick it down.

  3. Route the cable out

    Take the power cable out through the end of the profile or through a hole you have drilled.

  4. Fix the profile

    Fix the profile to the mounting surface with clips, screws or adhesive.

  5. Fit the cover

    Press the cover into the channel until it seats, then fit the end caps.

How is the cover fitted?

  1. Start from one end

    Insert one end of the cover into the channel at the end of the profile.

  2. Press along the full length

    Press the cover with your thumb to seat it in the channel along the profile.

  3. Fit the end caps

    Close both ends of the profile with the end caps.

Colour and finish options vary by product. For products with more than one option, the selection is made in the purchase area. For products with a single finish, the finish is stated under Product Specifications. For colours outside the standard options, you can submit a custom colour request with a RAL code.
