Expansion Joint Profile

The 10–12 mm tile movement joint profile manages the planned movement joint in tiling with two aluminium flanges and a flexible centre section. Considered as a tile expansion profile, this section forms a controlled joint line where adjoining tiled areas meet.

Highlights

  • Flexible centre section

    The flexible area at the centre of the movement joint profile is the part intended to accommodate movement in the tiling joint; it is selected according to the project requirement.

  • Perforated flange on both sides

    The flanges lie beneath the tile, allowing the tile edges on both sides of the joint to be finished with the metal profile.

  • 10 and 12 mm models

    The profile height is assessed together with the tile thickness and the finished level created by the adhesive bed.

  • Neat joint appearance

    The aluminium edges form a distinct line running along the movement joint and separate the tiled areas.

Applications and model selection

It can be used in tiled floors at the movement joints set out in the project. When choosing a tile movement joint trim, the joint position, the expected movement and the conditions of use should be assessed together.

Installation and Covering Compatibility

The profile is placed on the joint line defined in the project; no rigid filler that would restrict the movement of the centre section is applied. Technical suitability in terms of movement capacity, joint width and load conditions must be verified separately.
