3.2 cm Slim LED Profile

The 3.2 cm Slim Plasterboard LED Profile is used to design a wider light surface together with visible side frames. With an outer body width of 32 mm, the model, code Y57, provides pronounced linear lighting in plasterboard ceilings. The black or special paint surface completes the architectural character of the line.

Highlights

  • Slim LED profile with 32 mm body

    It can be considered for designs that want a more pronounced light band. The channel width requires the LED layout and the cover surface to be planned together.

  • Framed linear lighting

    The visible flat flanges form an outline around the lighting. This outline can emphasise parallel or geometric lines in the ceiling plan.

  • 14.5 mm section height

    The installation void and the cable route are prepared taking the profile height into account. The flanges are set in line with the finished plasterboard surface.

  • Light balance under a wide cover

    The strip layout under the cover is assessed so that no shadows form at the edges. The actual LED combination is tried with the polycarbonate or flexible cover.

Applications and model selection

It can be used in large living rooms, office meeting areas, showroom ceilings and interiors where a clearly framed line of light is wanted. The profile is chosen for its architectural section and intended appearance, separately from the lighting calculation.

Installation and Model Compatibility

The channel that will take the body is prepared; the profile is fixed so that the flanges bear evenly on the surface. The suitability of the LED strip for the inner width and the power requirement is checked. The cover is fitted without sharp joints or strain; the light distribution is assessed on a sample before application.

How is it installed?

  1. Measure and cut

    Mark the profile to the length required and cut it straight with a metal-cutting saw.

  2. Fit the LED strip

    Remove the backing tape from the strip and press it along the full length of the channel base to stick it down.

  3. Route the cable out

    Take the power cable out through the end of the profile or through a hole you have drilled.

  4. Fix the profile

    Fix the profile to the mounting surface with clips, screws or adhesive.

  5. Fit the cover

    Press the cover into the channel until it seats, then fit the end caps.

How is the cover fitted?

  1. Start from one end

    Insert one end of the cover into the channel at the end of the profile.

  2. Press along the full length

    Press the cover with your thumb to seat it in the channel along the profile.

  3. Fit the end caps

    Close both ends of the profile with the end caps.

Colour and finish options vary by product. For products with more than one option, the selection is made in the purchase area. For products with a single finish, the finish is stated under Product Specifications. For colours outside the standard options, you can submit a custom colour request with a RAL code.
