U Cover Profile

The U capping profile forms an aluminium finish that encloses the open edge of a furniture panel on three faces. The U-shaped channel holds the panel end inside while the two side flanges cover the cut edge.

    The aluminium U capping finishes the end face of the panel and the edges on both sides in a single section.

  • Covering the open cut edge

    The furniture edge capping profile gives the visible end section of the panel a metal frame.

    The side faces form a plain, linear finishing line on both sides of the panel.

  • Matching to the channel size

    The 18×18 mm nominal designation is not matched automatically to the panel thickness; the actual internal opening is checked separately.

Applications and model selection

It can be used as a panel U profile on the open edges of wardrobe, shelf and decorative furniture panels. Selection is made together with the panel thickness, the edge banding and the connection allowance inside the channel.

Installation and System Compatibility

The panel edge is prepared properly and dry-fitted in the U channel without forcing. The profile is cut to size and deburred. The fixing material is chosen to be compatible with the panel and the aluminium surface; the internal opening and the finishing line are checked.
