Terrace Profile

The terrace profile forms an aluminium finish at the open edge of tiled balconies and terraces. Its outward-projecting sloped flange provides a detail that helps direct water from the covering edge to the outside.

Highlights

  • Finishing the open edge

    The tile terrace profile ends the covering at the outer boundary of the floor with a neat metal surface.

  • Outward-sloping flange

    The sloped section is part of a detail designed to direct water outwards along the balcony edge.

  • Installation beneath the covering

    The perforated flange allows the profile to be set in place while the tiles are being laid.

  • 8, 10 and 12 mm models

    The profile is chosen together with the tile thickness, the adhesive bed and the edge level.

Applications and model selection

It can be considered for tiled coverings where a balcony edge trim or terrace edge profile is needed. The edge detail should be designed together with the floor fall, the waterproofing and the direction in which rainwater is to be drained.

Installation and Covering Compatibility

The perforated flange is placed in a suitable application bed. The outward-sloping face of the profile is planned together with the tile and waterproofing layers. Joints and corner junctions are detailed; the profile is not used in place of a waterproofing layer.
