Aluminium Feather Edge, Reinforced Blade Section

The reinforced aluminium feather edge with a blade section is a hand tool for levelling plaster. It combines a tapered scraping edge and an internal support section in one body: the edge runs over the fresh plaster and removes the excess, while the internal section forms the reinforced structure of the model.

    The centre-reinforced blade feather edge differs from the unreinforced blade model in the connecting web inside the body.

Applications and model selection

It can be used as a reinforced aluminium straight edge for gypsum and plaster work. When choosing the model, the working span, the actual section, the length and the application method are examined together.

Application and Surface Check

The Ano guide lines and the trueness of the feather edge are checked. Work on the fresh mortar with even pressure and fill any low areas. At the end of the job, mortar residues are cleaned off and the working edge and reinforced body are checked for deformation.
