The 7 × 13 Flanged LED Profile is an aluminium model whose narrow body suits small-scale recessed lighting details. In the Y6284 section the width including the flanges is shown as 17.4 mm and the outer body width as 13.4 mm. The side flanges form a thin finishing frame on the surface.

Highlights

  • Narrow flanged LED profile

    The 13.4 mm outer width helps in planning the groove position where space is limited. The LED strip width is chosen from the inner seat dimension.

  • Thin recessed LED channel

    The short side extensions cover the edges of the recessed groove. They give a compact appearance in furniture details that do not call for a large frame.

  • 7.6 mm section height

    The shallow section allows recessed installation to be considered on shelf and cabinet surfaces. Whether the surface thickness is suitable for installation is checked separately.

  • Line of light with cover

    A compatible cover creates an even light surface along the channel. Because of the shallow construction, it is useful to test the LED and cover combination in advance.

Applications and model selection

It can be used in narrow shelf details, cabinet interiors, display units and small furniture surfaces. It is considered in designs that call for a less visible edge than the wide-flanged models.

Installation and Model Compatibility

The groove is cut according to the body dimension and the installation allowance; the flanges are left on the top surface. The strip and solder joints are placed so that they do not touch the cover. Once the profile has been fixed and the light test completed, the compatible cover is seated evenly along the run.

How is it installed?

  1. Measure and cut

    Mark the profile to the length required and cut it straight with a metal-cutting saw.

  2. Fit the LED strip

    Remove the backing tape from the strip and press it along the full length of the channel base to stick it down.

  3. Route the cable out

    Take the power cable out through the end of the profile or through a hole you have drilled.

  4. Fix the profile

    Fix the profile to the mounting surface with clips, screws or adhesive.

  5. Fit the cover

    Press the cover into the channel until it seats, then fit the end caps.

How is the cover fitted?

  1. Start from one end

    Insert one end of the cover into the channel at the end of the profile.

  2. Press along the full length

    Press the cover with your thumb to seat it in the channel along the profile.

  3. Fit the end caps

    Close both ends of the profile with the end caps.

Colour and finish options vary by product. For products with more than one option, the selection is made in the purchase area. For products with a single finish, the finish is stated under Product Specifications. For colours outside the standard options, you can submit a custom colour request with a RAL code.
