Stainless Steel Tile Profiles

Stainless Steel Profiles

Stainless steel tile profiles form a neat metal edge at the corner, end and return points of wall tile and ceramic tile coverings. You can compare the oval, half-moon, square, right-angled, U-form, internal corner and bendable sections by covering thickness and direction of application.

Selection guide for stainless steel wall tile and ceramic tile profiles

A stainless steel wall tile profile finishes the cut end of the covering and also determines the shape of the corner. Whether the visible face is rounded or square affects the design choice; the profile height and the fixing flange affect compatibility with the covering. The section details of the Lux and Eco models within the same name family should also be examined.

Choosing a model by application

  1. Oval and half-moon sections

When choosing a stainless steel external corner tile profile, the Oval Lux, Oval Form Eco, Oval Lipped and Half Moon models offer rounded surfaces. The top edge and lip geometries vary from model to model.

  2. Square and right-angled finishes

The Lipped Square, Reverse Square and Right-Angled Edge Trim models create more angular edge lines. When choosing a stainless steel tile edge trim profile, the direction of the face that will remain exposed must be determined.

  3. U-form models

The curled top edge of the U Form Wall Tile Profile Lux model distinguishes it from the flat-ended section of the Eco model. The visible width and its relationship to the tile are checked on the technical drawing.

  4. Internal corners and curved lines

The stainless steel internal corner tile profile is reviewed for joints that turn inwards. The bendable tile profile, with the flange arrangement in its section, is considered for adaptation to curved lines; the bending radius is verified separately.

Four checks when choosing

  1. Corner direction

Assess the external corner, the internal corner and the free covering edge separately. The same decorative face does not give the same fit in every position.

  2. Profile height

Measure the finished level formed by the tile and the bonding layer. Compare the height of the selected model with this build-up.

  3. Visible face

Choose the oval, half-moon, square or flat face together with the tile size and the joint layout.

  4. Laying detail

Plan in advance the position of the flange that goes beneath the covering. In a curved application, check the bending and surface conditions of the section.

Areas of use and suitability

A stainless steel wall tile corner profile can be used at wall covering returns, around niches and along covering finishing lines. In details that call for a stainless steel tile edge profile, the position of the fixing flange matters as much as the appearance of the metal face. In wet areas, the material grade and surface treatment of the profile are assessed separately.

Planning before installation

The profile is dry-fitted against the tile, and the corner joints and cutting directions are planned. The flange beneath the covering is set in place together with the laying system. Grouting and cleaning are completed while protecting the surface; the manufacturer's installation instructions take precedence.

Identify the right section for your application

Identify the function of the joint; compare the covering and the profile section with the finished surface dimensions.
