Z Transition Profile

The Z transition profile joins the edges of different coverings, such as parquet and carpet, in a stepped aluminium section. The top flange covers the joint line while the vertical web and lower flange organise the position of the covering ends.

    The aluminium Z transition profile provides a joint detail in which the top and lower flanges lie in different planes.

    The horizontal top flange covers the edge line between the parquet and the adjacent covering.

Applications and model selection

It can be used as a parquet-to-carpet transition profile at covering joints. When selecting the Z parquet profile, the thickness of the two coverings, their underlayers and the gap required at the joint are measured together.

Installation and Floor Compatibility

The position of the lower flange is set according to the laying sequence. The parquet and the opposite covering are trial-fitted on the profile and the levels are matched. Fixing and movement allowance are planned to suit the floor system; nominal sizes are compared with the actual section.
