Y6369 Round-Edge Plasterboard Concealed Corner LED Profile

The Y6369 Oval Plasterboard Hidden Corner LED Profile forms a lighting detail with a soft transition through its curved section surface and side LED opening. Used at the plasterboard edge, this aluminium model has a different appearance from the angular stepped form. The term oval describes the shape of the profile section.

Highlights

  • Oval-section plasterboard LED profile

    The curve running from the flat upper section to the LED channel changes the shape of the visible transition. A more rounded edge effect can be aimed for in the design.

  • Hidden corner light channel

    The lighting comes from the opening beneath the curved surface. The mounting direction of the profile determines which area the light will highlight.

  • 60.4 mm overall height

    The height on the technical drawing helps in planning the space to be allowed for the plasterboard detail. The upper and lower flanges are assessed together.

  • Surface connection by flanges

    Flanges extending in different directions relate to the adjacent surfaces. The LED opening and the curved appearance are kept clear when the finishing layers are applied.

Applications and model selection

It can be considered for decorative plasterboard steps, ceiling perimeters and wall niches where a curved section appearance is wanted. The oval form in the section does not mean that the profile is flexible along its length.

Installation and Model Compatibility

The profile is oriented to suit the ceiling or wall section and fixed to a suitable surface. Plaster and paint must not run into the light channel. The LED strip and cover are selected according to the inner bed and seating groove. The relation of the curved surface to the light is checked with a trial in the actual position.

How is it installed?

  1. Measure and cut

    Mark the profile to the length required and cut it straight with a metal-cutting saw.

  2. Fit the LED strip

    Remove the backing tape from the strip and press it along the full length of the channel base to stick it down.

  3. Route the cable out

    Take the power cable out through the end of the profile or through a hole you have drilled.

  4. Fix the profile

    Fix the profile to the mounting surface with clips, screws or adhesive.

  5. Fit the cover

    Press the cover into the channel until it seats, then fit the end caps.

How is the cover fitted?

  1. Start from one end

    Insert one end of the cover into the channel at the end of the profile.

  2. Press along the full length

    Press the cover with your thumb to seat it in the channel along the profile.

  3. Fit the end caps

    Close both ends of the profile with the end caps.

Colour and finish options vary by product. For products with more than one option, the selection is made in the purchase area. For products with a single finish, the finish is stated under Product Specifications. For colours outside the standard options, you can submit a custom colour request with a RAL code.
