Y6249 Plasterboard Concealed Corner LED Profile (17×10)

The Plasterboard Hidden Corner LED Profile with perforated vertical flange is a special aluminium model that handles the edge finish together with the light channel. The vertical fixing flange and stepped section are used to bring lighting into the surface layout at a plasterboard junction. The direction of the channel is determined by the section of the application.

Highlights

  • Hidden LED profile with perforated flange

    The perforated flange at the top provides an area for connecting to the finished surface. During installation, the surface the flange will sit on and the fixing direction are planned together.

  • Stepped body form

    The LED channel is in a section that forms different levels together with the horizontal legs. This geometry determines the position at the surface edge.

  • Plasterboard edge lighting

    The LED opening can set out a continuous line along a plasterboard edge or niche. The orientation of the profile is chosen according to the surface where the light will be seen.

  • Model selection by section

    This model differs from the other hidden corner section with a height of 45 mm. For the mounting detail, its own drawing and flange arrangement are taken as the basis.

Applications and model selection

It can be considered for plasterboard ceiling edges, niche surrounds and wall details that require a vertical fixing flange. The position of the fixing surface is as important as the light opening when choosing the model.

Installation and Model Compatibility

The section is test-fitted together with the plasterboard and finishing layers. The vertical flange is fixed to a suitable surface; plaster must not spill into the LED channel. The strip and cover are chosen according to the inner channel and the seating slot. Cable access and the direction of the light are checked before the surfaces are closed.

How is it installed?

  1. Measure and cut

    Mark the profile to the length required and cut it straight with a metal-cutting saw.

  2. Fit the LED strip

    Remove the backing tape from the strip and press it along the full length of the channel base to stick it down.

  3. Route the cable out

    Take the power cable out through the end of the profile or through a hole you have drilled.

  4. Fix the profile

    Fix the profile to the mounting surface with clips, screws or adhesive.

  5. Fit the cover

    Press the cover into the channel until it seats, then fit the end caps.

How is the cover fitted?

  1. Start from one end

    Insert one end of the cover into the channel at the end of the profile.

  2. Press along the full length

    Press the cover with your thumb to seat it in the channel along the profile.

  3. Fit the end caps

    Close both ends of the profile with the end caps.

Colour and finish options vary by product. For products with more than one option, the selection is made in the purchase area. For products with a single finish, the finish is stated under Product Specifications. For colours outside the standard options, you can submit a custom colour request with a RAL code.
