5 cm Trimless LED Profile

The 5 cm Trimless Plasterboard LED Profile has been developed for projects that want a wide band of light blended into the plasterboard surface. The 50 mm outer body width of the Y6280 model turns the lighting into a pronounced design element on ceilings and walls; the side flanges sit under the plaster.

Highlights

  • Trimless LED profile with 50 mm body

    The wide section is considered for designs that want a stronger visual band rather than a narrow line. The amount of light is determined by the LED system chosen.

  • 86 mm overall footprint

    The 86 mm width including the two mounting flanges allows the area set aside for the surface finish to be planned. The installation cavity is determined from the section.

  • Frameless linear lighting

    Covering the perforated flanges with plaster helps the metal edges stay in the background. The wide light surface follows the ceiling design.

  • Cover and LED layout

    For even lighting across the wide cover surface, the LED layout is planned separately. The polycarbonate and flexible cover alternatives are chosen according to the project run.

Applications and model selection

It can be considered for pronounced linear lighting in large living rooms, hotel common areas, showrooms and office ceilings. If it is to be used for general lighting, the required luminous flux and the layout are calculated independently of the profile width.

Installation and Model Compatibility

The accuracy of the plasterboard channel is checked, along with the flanges sitting at the same level. After plastering, the LED seat is cleaned; the strip layout and power requirement are designed. A short sample is prepared with the final LED and cover combination, and the light distribution and joints are observed along the band.

Step-by-step installation

  1. Cut the channel

    Cut the plasterboard to the profile size to open a channel.

  2. Position the profile

    Place the profile squarely in the channel you have cut.

  3. Fix with screws

    Fix the profile with screws through the mounting holes in its flanges.

  4. Apply plaster

    Cover the perforated flanges with plaster and level the surface.

  5. Finish the painting

    Once the surface is dry, complete the painting.

  6. Fit the LED strip

    Place the LED strip or modules in the inner channel of the profile.

  7. Remove the protective tape

    Remove the protective tape

    Carefully peel the protective tape off the diffuser cover.

  8. Switch on the light

    The result is continuous light and a clean finish.

Correct installation sequence

  1. Position and screw in place with the cover fitted.
  2. Plaster and paint with the cover and tape in place.
  3. When installing the LEDs, remove the tape first, then the cover.
  4. Fit the LEDs and refit the cover.

How is the diffuser cover fitted?

    Seat one edge of the cover in the channel and apply pressure to the other edge.

  3. Press along the full length

    Make sure the cover is fully seated along the profile.

Colour and finish options vary by product. For products with more than one option, the selection is made in the purchase area. For products with a single finish, the finish is stated under Product Specifications. For colours outside the standard options, you can submit a custom colour request with a RAL code.
