LED Stair Riser Profile

The between-step LED stair profile finishes the ceramic tile edge with metal and forms a lighting channel in its lower part. The perforated mounting flange sits under the tiling while the top part covers the step edge, so the LED strip can be placed on the line where the step meets the riser.

Highlights

  • Laid together with the tiles

    Thanks to its perforated flange, the ceramic stair LED profile goes under the tiling during laying. The step edge is completed by aligning the profile and the tiles together.

  • Light line along the riser

    With its lower channel, the between-step LED profile carries the light towards the riser. The visible effect depends on the LED strip and cover used.

  • Metal finish on the tile edge

    The tile LED step profile covers the exposed tile edge with its top part and forms a neat line. The profile direction follows the run of the step.

  • Two nominal models

    The 10 and 12 mm models are chosen by considering the tile thickness and the adhesive bed together. The nominal model size does not mean the LED strip width.

Applications and model selection

Suitable for ceramic and tiled interior stairs, in new laying or re-tiling work. In projects looking for a riser lighting profile, plan in advance the laying order in which the perforated flange stays under the tiling. Step edge lighting is considered together with the tile joints and the finish of adjoining surfaces.

Installation and Step Fit

Check the finished level with tile and profile samples. Place the perforated flange under the tiling within a suitable laying system and align the top metal part with the ceramic edge. Do not let mortar or grout run into the LED channel. Prepare the cable outlet and maintenance access before the tiling is closed, and check the strip and cover fit on the actual section.

How is it installed?

  1. Measure and cut

    Mark the profile to the length required and cut it straight with a metal-cutting saw.

  2. Fit the LED strip

    Remove the backing tape from the strip and press it along the full length of the channel base to stick it down.

  3. Route the cable out

    Take the power cable out through the end of the profile or through a hole you have drilled.

  4. Fix the profile

    Fix the profile to the mounting surface with clips, screws or adhesive.

  5. Fit the cover

    Press the cover into the channel until it seats, then fit the end caps.

How is the cover fitted?

  1. Start from one end

    Insert one end of the cover into the channel at the end of the profile.

  2. Press along the full length

    Press the cover with your thumb to seat it in the channel along the profile.

  3. Fit the end caps

    Close both ends of the profile with the end caps.

Which colour options are available?

Colour and finish options vary by product. For products with more than one option, the selection is made in the purchase area. For products with a single finish, the finish is stated under Product Specifications. For colours outside the standard options, you can submit a custom colour request with a RAL code.
