Single-Flange Reverse Trimless LED Profile

The Single-Flange Reverse Trimless LED Profile is a special aluminium section with a mounting flange on only one side of the LED channel. The Y6272 model is used to integrate the lighting run into the surface in edge and end details where flanges cannot extend to both sides.

Highlights

  • Single-flange LED profile

    Having the side flange on one side only makes it easier to bring the profile close to a surface edge. The fixing area and the finishing direction are set accordingly.

  • Reverse plaster-in LED channel

    The perforated flange extends from the base level of the LED channel. This form requires a different plaster and mounting detail from top-flanged profiles.

  • 33.09 mm overall width

    The narrow overall section is an advantage when planning limited edge areas. The area taken up by the body and the single flange is calculated together.

  • Line of light along the edge

    The asymmetric geometry helps the lighting follow a niche or a surface boundary. The direction of the light opening is arranged according to the project detail.

Applications and model selection

It can be considered for plasterboard niche edges, wall ends and special ceiling details that need a plaster connection on one side only. When choosing the model, the left or right handing of the profile and the surface it will be fixed to are examined together.

Installation and Model Compatibility

The handing of the profile is chosen by identifying the surface the single flange will sit on. The flange is fixed and plaster must not spill onto the open side of the channel. It is checked that the LED strip and cable joints fit within the inner volume. Before the compatible cover is fitted, the alignment of the run and a lighting test are completed.

Step-by-step installation

  1. Cut the channel

    Cut the plasterboard to the profile size to open a channel.

  2. Position the profile

    Place the profile squarely in the channel you have cut.

  3. Fix with screws

    Fix the profile with screws through the mounting holes in its flanges.

  4. Apply plaster

    Cover the perforated flanges with plaster and level the surface.

  5. Finish the painting

    Once the surface is dry, complete the painting.

  6. Fit the LED strip

    Place the LED strip or modules in the inner channel of the profile.

  7. Remove the protective tape

    Remove the protective tape

    Carefully peel the protective tape off the diffuser cover.

  8. Switch on the light

    The result is continuous light and a clean finish.

Correct installation sequence

  1. Position and screw in place with the cover fitted.
  2. Plaster and paint with the cover and tape in place.
  3. When installing the LEDs, remove the tape first, then the cover.
  4. Fit the LEDs and refit the cover.

How is the diffuser cover fitted?

    Seat one edge of the cover in the channel and apply pressure to the other edge.

  3. Press along the full length

    Make sure the cover is fully seated along the profile.

Colour and finish options vary by product. For products with more than one option, the selection is made in the purchase area. For products with a single finish, the finish is stated under Product Specifications. For colours outside the standard options, you can submit a custom colour request with a RAL code.
