Surface-Mounted Ceiling LED Profile

The Surface-Mounted Ceiling LED Profile is an aluminium linear lighting profile fixed to the ceiling surface from the outside. The section measures 40 × 18 mm; it needs no plaster-in installation or channel cutting.

    The profile is fixed to the finished ceiling surface; no cutting of the plasterboard or plaster-in preparation is needed.

    The wide body forms a distinct line of light on the ceiling. The section height determines how far it projects from the ceiling.

Applications and model selection

It can be used for linear lighting added to existing ceilings, and on corridor, office and shop ceilings.

Installation and Model Compatibility

The profile is fixed to the ceiling surface with suitable fixings. The cable entry is planned from behind the profile or from its end. The LED strip is selected according to the inner width; the cover is fitted to the seat of the section.

How is it installed?

  1. Measure and cut

    Mark the profile to the length required and cut it straight with a metal-cutting saw.

  2. Fit the LED strip

    Remove the backing tape from the strip and press it along the full length of the channel base to stick it down.

  3. Route the cable out

    Take the power cable out through the end of the profile or through a hole you have drilled.

  4. Fix the profile

    Fix the profile to the mounting surface with clips, screws or adhesive.

  5. Fit the cover

    Press the cover into the channel until it seats, then fit the end caps.

How is the cover fitted?

  1. Start from one end

    Insert one end of the cover into the channel at the end of the profile.

  2. Press along the full length

    Press the cover with your thumb to seat it in the channel along the profile.

  3. Fit the end caps

    Close both ends of the profile with the end caps.

Which colour options are available?

Colour and finish options vary by product. For products with more than one option, the selection is made in the purchase area. For products with a single finish, the finish is stated under Product Specifications. For colours outside the standard options, you can submit a custom colour request with a RAL code.
