Threshold Profile with Silicone Seal

The silicone-fixed threshold profile covers the joint between parquet and tile with a curved aluminium surface 37 mm wide. The bond made with silicone adhesive along the lower edges positions the profile at the floor transition.

Highlights

  • Fixed with silicone

    The silicone-bonded threshold profile is applied using a suitable adhesive between its lower contact surfaces and the floor.

  • 37 mm cover width

    The top surface covers the gap between the two coverings; the bearing allowance on each side is measured for the application.

  • Curved transition surface

    The aluminium threshold strip forms a metal line over the floor joint that tapers to both sides.

  • Matt surface

    The matt appearance brings different textures such as parquet and tile together under one transition colour.

Applications and model selection

It can be used as a silicone-fixed parquet transition profile at door thresholds and between rooms. When selecting the model, check the levels of the two floors, the width of the gap and the covering surface the adhesive will contact.

Installation and Floor Compatibility

The floor is cleaned and dried; the profile is cut and trial-fitted. A silicone adhesive compatible with aluminium and with the covering is applied to the lower contact areas. Curing time and movement gaps are kept as stated in the instructions for the material used.
