8×17 Pendant LED Profile

The 8 × 17 Aluminium Pendant LED Profile is a compact aluminium section that carries the LED strip in bespoke pendant and decorative lighting designs. The flat-based body helps linear light components to be placed within the design. The technical drawing shows an outer width of 17 mm and a height of 8.6 mm.

  • Slim aluminium pendant profile

    The narrow, low body can be considered for designing slim lighting elements. The profile is designed together with the supporting and connection details of the pendant.

  • Pendant LED strip channel

    The LED strip is positioned on the inner base of the channel. The strip width is selected according to the usable inner dimension, separately from the outer body width.

  • Cover connection details

    The upper grooves in the section allow a suitable light cover to be fitted. Cover seating is checked together with the LED height and the connections.

  • Thin linear appearance

    The small section of the profile helps to place the light source along specific lines of the design. The proportion of visible body to cover is assessed together.

Applications and model selection

It can be used in bespoke pendants, decorative light bars and thin linear lighting components. It is considered where the body section suits the design of the pendant and the type of connection.

Installation and Model Compatibility

Cutting, joints and supporting connections are determined together with the pendant design. The LED strip is selected to suit the inner seat; cable routing and access to the cover are planned. The suitability of the profile for the lighting components is checked on an assembled sample. The final light appearance is tried with the selected cover.

How is it installed?

  1. Measure and cut

    Mark the profile to the length required and cut it straight with a metal-cutting saw.

  2. Fit the LED strip

    Remove the backing tape from the strip and press it along the full length of the channel base to stick it down.

  3. Route the cable out

    Take the power cable out through the end of the profile or through a hole you have drilled.

  4. Fix the profile

    Fix the profile to the mounting surface with clips, screws or adhesive.

  5. Fit the cover

    Press the cover into the channel until it seats, then fit the end caps.

How is the cover fitted?

  1. Start from one end

    Insert one end of the cover into the channel at the end of the profile.

  2. Press along the full length

    Press the cover with your thumb to seat it in the channel along the profile.

  3. Fit the end caps

    Close both ends of the profile with the end caps.

Which colour options are available?

Colour and finish options vary by product. For products with more than one option, the selection is made in the purchase area. For products with a single finish, the finish is stated under Product Specifications. For colours outside the standard options, you can submit a custom colour request with a RAL code.

Can I get a price for project and wholesale orders?
