Round-Bottom LED Skirting Profile

The Oval-Bottom LED Skirting Profile is an aluminium model that combines a flat front face with a curved finish at the bottom. The Y6231 section positions the LED channel above this transition. This gives a rounded finish and a line of light at the base of the wall, unlike a flat skirting.

  • Oval LED skirting profile

    The oval surface at the bottom softens the visible transition between the skirting and the floor. This form can be matched with other curved details in the space.

  • 90 mm section height

    The height of the profile determines the size of the visible band at the base of the wall. Its fit with door frames and adjacent skirtings is assessed in advance.

  • Illuminated aluminium skirting

It can be considered for decorative lighting at the base of the wall in residential, hotel and commercial interiors. In designs that call for a curved bottom finish instead of a flat-based skirting, the choice is made from the section.

Installation and Model Compatibility

The finished floor level and the line of the wall are checked, and the profile is fixed by a suitable method. The position of the oval bottom section relative to the floor is kept constant along the whole run. The LED strip is chosen to suit the inner channel; at corners the body and cover cuts are arranged together. Cable access is planned in advance.

How is it installed?

  1. Measure and cut

    Mark the profile to the length required and cut it straight with a metal-cutting saw.

  2. Fit the LED strip

    Remove the backing tape from the strip and press it along the full length of the channel base to stick it down.

  3. Route the cable out

    Take the power cable out through the end of the profile or through a hole you have drilled.

  4. Fix the profile

    Fix the profile to the mounting surface with clips, screws or adhesive.

  5. Fit the cover

    Press the cover into the channel until it seats, then fit the end caps.

How is the cover fitted?

  1. Start from one end

    Insert one end of the cover into the channel at the end of the profile.

  2. Press along the full length

    Press the cover with your thumb to seat it in the channel along the profile.

  3. Fit the end caps

    Close both ends of the profile with the end caps.

Colour and finish options vary by product. For products with more than one option, the selection is made in the purchase area. For products with a single finish, the finish is stated under Product Specifications. For colours outside the standard options, you can submit a custom colour request with a RAL code.
