Linear Housing

The Y1264 Linear LED Luminaire Housing is an aluminium body used in linear LED luminaire designs. The compartmented section of the Y1264 model helps in planning the layout of the light source and the other components. The 76 × 50 mm outer dimensions and the 3 m standard length provide a reference for linear runs to be prepared to suit the project geometry.

  • Aluminium linear luminaire housing

    The internal divider in the section creates separate compartments for organising the components. The LED, cable and other elements to be used are chosen according to the actual inner dimensions.

Applications and model selection

It can be considered for linear luminaire projects in offices, shops, showrooms and work areas. Wall or ceiling positioning is determined together with suitable fixing elements and the technical design of the whole luminaire.

Installation and Model Compatibility

The housing is prepared to the project length; end joints and mounting points are planned. The LED module or strip is chosen according to the internal layout and the power requirement. If the driver is to be housed inside, its size and the thermal conditions are checked separately. The cover and light distribution are assessed on a completed sample.

How is it installed?

  1. Measure and cut

    Mark the profile to the length required and cut it straight with a metal-cutting saw.

  2. Fit the LED strip

    Remove the backing tape from the strip and press it along the full length of the channel base to stick it down.

  3. Route the cable out

    Take the power cable out through the end of the profile or through a hole you have drilled.

  4. Fix the profile

    Fix the profile to the mounting surface with clips, screws or adhesive.

  5. Fit the cover

    Press the cover into the channel until it seats, then fit the end caps.

How is the cover fitted?

  1. Start from one end

    Insert one end of the cover into the channel at the end of the profile.

  2. Press along the full length

    Press the cover with your thumb to seat it in the channel along the profile.

  3. Fit the end caps

    Close both ends of the profile with the end caps.
