1.8 cm Reverse Trimless LED Profile

The 1.8 cm Reverse Trimless LED Profile has a special plaster-in section in which the mounting flanges are at the level of the channel base. The Y6281 model is used in plasterboard details that need a different position from the standard trimless geometry, to place the light opening in relation to the build-up layers.

Highlights

  • Reverse-flanged LED profile

    In the reverse section, the perforated flanges extend outwards from the lower part of the LED channel. The position of the profile within the surface is planned around this geometry.

  • Compact section height

    The 11.07 mm height shown on the drawing is a reference when assessing tight construction details. The cover and finished level are checked together before installation.

  • Concealed light profile for plasterboard

    The side flanges help connect the profile to the supporting surface and arrange the plaster layer around it. The channel is kept open.

  • Thin linear accent

    The 18.4 mm outer body width suits a narrow lighting detail. The reverse form of the profile determines the flange position in the application.

Applications and model selection

It can be considered in plasterboard ceilings, walls and niches, in special details where the standard top-flanged section does not suit the position. When choosing the model, the surface layers and the mounting direction are examined as well as the line of light.

Installation and Model Compatibility

First the profile section is compared with the build-up layers and the finished level is set. The body is not squeezed while the flanges are fixed; plaster must not spill into the LED channel. The strip is chosen according to the inner seat dimension and the power requirement. The appearance of the light is checked on a sample installation with the compatible cover.

Step-by-step installation

  1. Cut the channel

    Cut the plasterboard to the profile size to open a channel.

  2. Position the profile

    Place the profile squarely in the channel you have cut.

  3. Fix with screws

    Fix the profile with screws through the mounting holes in its flanges.

  4. Apply plaster

    Apply plaster

    Cover the perforated flanges with plaster and level the surface.

  5. Finish the painting

    Once the surface is dry, complete the painting.

  6. Fit the LED strip

    Fit the LED strip

    Place the LED strip or modules in the inner channel of the profile.

  7. Remove the protective tape

    Remove the protective tape

    Carefully peel the protective tape off the diffuser cover.

  8. Switch on the light

    The result is continuous light and a clean finish.

Correct installation sequence

  1. Position and screw in place with the cover fitted.
  2. Plaster and paint with the cover and tape in place.
  3. When installing the LEDs, remove the tape first, then the cover.
  4. Fit the LEDs and refit the cover.

How is the diffuser cover fitted?

    Seat one edge of the cover in the channel and apply pressure to the other edge.
