3.2 cm Trimless LED Profile

The 3.2 cm Trimless Plasterboard LED Profile creates a wider linear lighting detail in plasterboard ceilings and walls. With an outer body width of 32 mm and perforated flanges that sit under the plaster, the Y6211 aluminium model blends the band of light into the surface.

Highlights

  • Trimless LED profile with 32 mm body

    The 32 mm body allows a wider light surface to be designed than with the narrow trimless models. Lines in keeping with the scale of the space can be created.

  • 14.5 mm section height

    The section height is used in planning the position behind the plasterboard and the installation cavity. Space for the LED and cables is assessed separately.

  • Plaster-in LED channel for plasterboard

    The flanges on both sides support fixing the profile to the surface and the plaster finish. After painting, the surround of the band of light has a plain appearance.

  • Light control on a wide surface

    An even appearance along the cover depends on the LED layout. The strip is chosen not only by channel width but by the power and light distribution required.

Applications and model selection

It can be considered for large living room ceilings, office circulation areas, retail spaces and wall designs that call for a pronounced linear light. The profile width governs the visual effect; the LED system and the project calculation govern the lighting level.

Installation and Model Compatibility

The profile is placed in a plasterboard channel prepared to suit its section. The shape of the body is protected during fixing and plastering. The LED layout is tried on a sample so that it does not produce shadows or visible dots under the cover. At corner joints, the profile and cover cuts are aligned on the same line.

Step-by-step installation

  1. Cut the channel

    Cut the plasterboard to the profile size to open a channel.

  2. Position the profile

    Place the profile squarely in the channel you have cut.

  3. Fix with screws

    Fix the profile with screws through the mounting holes in its flanges.

  4. Apply plaster

    Apply plaster

    Cover the perforated flanges with plaster and level the surface.

  5. Finish the painting

    Once the surface is dry, complete the painting.

  6. Fit the LED strip

    Fit the LED strip

    Place the LED strip or modules in the inner channel of the profile.

  7. Remove the protective tape

    Remove the protective tape

    Carefully peel the protective tape off the diffuser cover.

  8. Switch on the light

    Switch on the light

    The result is continuous light and a clean finish.

Correct installation sequence

  1. Position and screw in place with the cover fitted.
  2. Plaster and paint with the cover and tape in place.
  3. When installing the LEDs, remove the tape first, then the cover.
  4. Fit the LEDs and refit the cover.

How is the diffuser cover fitted?

    Seat one edge of the cover in the channel and apply pressure to the other edge.

  3. Press along the full length

    Make sure the cover is fully seated along the profile.

Colour and finish options vary by product. For products with more than one option, the selection is made in the purchase area. For products with a single finish, the finish is stated under Product Specifications. For colours outside the standard options, you can submit a custom colour request with a RAL code.
