Trimless External Corner LED Profile

The Trimless Outside Corner LED Profile is designed to create a lighting run at projecting plasterboard corners. The angled, perforated flanges of the Y6246 model sit on the two faces of the corner; the LED channel allows the outside corner line to be emphasised with light.

Highlights

  • Plasterboard outside corner LED profile

    The angled flanges follow the outside corner geometry. The profile section is assessed together with the corner angle and the surface thicknesses.

  • Flanges concealed under plaster

    The perforated surfaces provide an area for fixing and for the plaster finish. Once the application is complete, the aim is a continuous surface around the line of light.

  • Column corner lighting

    At outside corners such as columns and projections, the line of light defines the shape of the element. The position of the LED channel gives a different visual effect from a straight ceiling line.

  • Cover to suit the special section

    The cover slot of the outside corner section differs from that of straight channel profiles. The cover and strip are chosen to suit this model's own geometry.

Applications and model selection

It can be considered for plasterboard column casings, niche frames that form an outside corner and wall projections. If the project aims to light the outside corner, the choice is made from the position of the section and the finished surface levels.

Installation and Model Compatibility

The profile is aligned along the corner; both flanges are fixed properly to the supporting surface. The cover slot is protected during plastering and painting. The LED strip is chosen according to the actual inner volume of the channel. The cover seating and the appearance of the light along the corner are checked on a sample.

Step-by-step installation

  1. Cut the channel

    Cut the channel

    Cut the plasterboard to the profile size to open a channel.

  2. Position the profile

    Position the profile

    Place the profile squarely in the channel you have cut.

  3. Fix with screws

    Fix with screws

    Fix the profile with screws through the mounting holes in its flanges.

  4. Apply plaster

    Apply plaster

    Cover the perforated flanges with plaster and level the surface.

  5. Finish the painting

    Finish the painting

    Once the surface is dry, complete the painting.

  6. Fit the LED strip

    Fit the LED strip

    Place the LED strip or modules in the inner channel of the profile.

  7. Remove the protective tape

    Remove the protective tape

    Carefully peel the protective tape off the diffuser cover.

  8. Switch on the light

    Switch on the light

    The result is continuous light and a clean finish.

Correct installation sequence

  1. Position and screw in place with the cover fitted.
  2. Plaster and paint with the cover and tape in place.
  3. When installing the LEDs, remove the tape first, then the cover.
  4. Fit the LEDs and refit the cover.

Colour and finish options vary by product. For products with more than one option, the selection is made in the purchase area. For products with a single finish, the finish is stated under Product Specifications. For colours outside the standard options, you can submit a custom colour request with a RAL code.
