The H straightedge profile is an H-section aluminium application profile used to level a fresh plaster surface. The working edges running along its length and the central web form a contact line along which excess mortar is scraped off.

Applications and model selection

It is used as an H plaster straightedge on gypsum plaster and suitable mortar surfaces. The application length is selected according to the wall span, the working area and the requirements of the plaster system used.

Application and Surface Check

The surface and any guides are checked. The H straightedge is applied with steady movements while the plaster is at a suitable consistency; low areas are made good. Mortar residue is cleaned off before it hardens, and the accuracy of the working edges is checked before the next use.
