Neon LED Channel

The Aluminium Neon LED Channel is an aluminium profile used to carry and position compatible flexible neon lighting along a straight line. The raised side walls of the Y6235 channel form a seat for the neon body. The choice is made by assessing the outer section of the neon and the inner dimension of the channel together.

Highlights

  • Neon LED mounting profile

    The open channel construction allows a suitable neon LED to be positioned along the length. The width and height of the neon and the direction of its light-emitting face are checked together.

  • Aluminium neon carrier channel

    The rigid aluminium channel helps flexible neon to run evenly in a straight application. The mounting axis of the profile determines the final line of light.

  • 11 × 15 mm outer section

    The outer width and height show the space to be allowed on the surface. These values are not used directly as the width of the compatible neon.

  • Raised side walls

    The side walls define the line in which the neon will sit. The neon is fitted without crushing its body and without covering the light surface.

Applications and model selection

It can be considered for decorative straight neon lines, furniture and display case lighting, and interior linear applications. The profile is selected when it matches the section of the neon model to be used.

Installation and Model Compatibility

A neon sample is first tested in the channel. The aluminium channel is fixed to the surface by a suitable method; cable and connection access is planned. The neon is fitted in line with the manufacturer's bending direction and installation conditions. The environmental protection required is assessed together with the specifications of the neon and the connection system.

How is it installed?

  1. Measure and cut

    Mark the profile to the length required and cut it straight with a metal-cutting saw.

  2. Fit the LED strip

    Remove the backing tape from the strip and press it along the full length of the channel base to stick it down.

  3. Route the cable out

    Take the power cable out through the end of the profile or through a hole you have drilled.

  4. Fix the profile

    Fix the profile to the mounting surface with clips, screws or adhesive.

  5. Fit the cover

    Press the cover into the channel until it seats, then fit the end caps.

How is the cover fitted?

  1. Start from one end

    Insert one end of the cover into the channel at the end of the profile.

  2. Press along the full length

    Press the cover with your thumb to seat it in the channel along the profile.

  3. Fit the end caps

    Close both ends of the profile with the end caps.

Which colour options are available?

Colour and finish options vary by product. For products with more than one option, the selection is made in the purchase area. For products with a single finish, the finish is stated under Product Specifications. For colours outside the standard options, you can submit a custom colour request with a RAL code.
