2.5 cm Trimless LED Profile

The 2.5 cm Trimless Plasterboard LED Profile is an aluminium profile used to create frameless linear lighting in plasterboard surfaces. With an outer body width of 25 mm, the model, code Y6310, offers an option between the narrow and the wider trimless sections; the perforated flanges are concealed in the plaster.

Highlights

  • Trimless LED profile with 25 mm body

    It can be considered for projects that aim for a medium-width lighting line. The section is chosen according to the proportion the line of light will have in the space.

  • 12.1 mm section height

    The height of the profile serves as a reference for planning the void behind the plasterboard. The LED and cable layout is assessed separately.

  • Flanged plaster fixing

    The perforated flanges within the 60.05 mm total width provide a fixing and plastering area on both sides. The central part of the channel is reserved for lighting.

  • Frameless plasterboard lighting

    Once the flanges are covered, the line of light becomes part of the plasterboard design. Straight lines and corner joints prepared to the project angle can be formed.

Applications and model selection

It can be used in living room and corridor ceilings, office lighting and wall niches. The 2.5 cm model is chosen when the visible scale of the line and the installation section are assessed together.

Installation and Model Compatibility

The plasterboard channel is prepared according to the body section of the profile and the flanges are fixed to an even surface. The channel opening is protected during plastering. The LED strip and the cover are matched to the inner seat and the cover slot; the 25 mm outer width is not used directly as an LED strip compatibility figure.

Step-by-step installation

  1. Cut the channel

    Cut the plasterboard to the profile size to open a channel.

  2. Position the profile

    Place the profile squarely in the channel you have cut.

  3. Fix with screws

    Fix the profile with screws through the mounting holes in its flanges.

  4. Apply plaster

    Cover the perforated flanges with plaster and level the surface.

  5. Finish the painting

    Once the surface is dry, complete the painting.

  6. Fit the LED strip

    Fit the LED strip

    Place the LED strip or modules in the inner channel of the profile.

  7. Remove the protective tape

    Remove the protective tape

    Carefully peel the protective tape off the diffuser cover.

  8. Switch on the light

    Switch on the light

    The result is continuous light and a clean finish.

Correct installation sequence

  1. Position and screw in place with the cover fitted.
  2. Plaster and paint with the cover and tape in place.
  3. When installing the LEDs, remove the tape first, then the cover.
  4. Fit the LEDs and refit the cover.

How is the diffuser cover fitted?

    Seat one edge of the cover in the channel and apply pressure to the other edge.

    Make sure the cover is fully seated along the profile.
